When Bp. Sheen, who could be a canonized saint by now if not for the scheming by various U.S. bishops to prevent that from happening, said it's up to us, the laity, to save the Church. he wasn't kidding.

So in addition to all kinds of efforts of the more high-minded sort dealing with the brain and intellect directly, there are also what we might term more down-to-earth efforts (literally, down to earth), like what you put on your feet while walking around. We're talking about Catholic devotional socks, the brainchild of Scott and Elizabeth Williams, who started up Sock Religious — home-based in Indianapolis and just having passed the 100,000 order milestone, making it the biggest Catholic sock company in history.

Scriptures do say, "How beautiful the feet of those who bring glad tidings." So those feet might as well be wearing beautiful socks as well, right? In fact, something we may almost never really pay any attention to in the Bible is feet.

An app where you could learn about your food and drink and the ingredients found within them, and find the grocery items that avoid the harmful substances in them at your local stores.

It could also tell you about the known relationships between your items and various religious, political, and corporate interests, and allow you to find items that do not go to disliked causes.

In addition we could do the instant shoppers thing and show people recipes that they could order all the ingredients for.

Where it comes to water, we could guide the users to items that could filter their tap water to make it safe for cleaning, cooking, and consumption.

If we have some techies and code monkeys to make this, they and us would be getting rich.

You'd be informed about what ingredients are your food items, and what the known health effects these foods might have on you.

You'd be informed on what the purchase of food items would mean for religious, political, and corporate causes.

It would allow you to filter these items out of your grocery searches, and you could see what there is at your local stores that fits within your designated criteria.

Basically telling you where you could get some foods that lack seed oils, or some items that are not kosher certified.

Should a certain item type devoid of these things not he able to be found.

There'd also be options to search for items of that type available within your area that have the least amount of the property you wish to avoid. For in cases where we could not completely avoid the damage, we could still at least minimize it as much as we possible.

Pierre-Marie Robitaille, Ph.D., was a professor of Radiology at The Ohio State University from 1989-2019, and also held an appointment in the Chemical Physics Program. In 1998, he led the design and assembly of the world’s first Ultra High Field MRI System. Readings from this equipment brought into question fundamental aspects of modern thermal physics, such as Kirchhoff’s Law of thermal emission.

St. Mechtildis May 31th | Saint of the Day

Benedictine abbess and miracle worker. She was the daughter of Count Berthold of Andechs, in modem Bavaria, Germany. The count and his wife, Sophia, founded a monastery on their es­tate at Diessen, Bavaria, and placed Mechtildis there at the age of five. She became a Benedictine nun, and then abbess. In 1153 the bishop of Augsburg placed her in charge of Edelstetten Abbey. Mechtildis was revered for her mystical gifts and miracles.
