My sunflowers get both butterflies and hummingbirds, one of the reasons why I grow them.

Of course the hummingbirds have startled me on more than one occasion zipping over my head into them, lol.

A few years ago we had a hummingbird that would hover in front of my face to let me know the feeder was empty.
She must have figured out that I was responsible for her sugar water treat.

She watched you do it and recognized you. Birds are smart like that.

We have a dozen little hummingbird feeders at our place (we probably have 200+ hummingbirds nesting in the mesquite surrounding our house) and SEVERAL of them come over and hover in front of our faces, indignantly chittering at us in an absolute RAGE when the feeders need to be freshened up lol - so entitled (and so adorable, it's worth the $6 of sugar a month to keep them happy)

I keep five milkweed types in my 'weed garden' for the Monarchs.

My zinnias in Minnesota did a great job attracting monarchs...I just thought they'd look cool.

Moths are important pollinators.

Our garden is utterly infested with those things.
